Alkmaar is a historic boutique vineyard located in the Blouvlei area at the foothills of the Hawequa mountains in Wellington.
Cultivars planted on the farm are Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Viognier, Mourvèdre, Pinotage and Chardonnay vines. The 9 hectares vineyard has the perfect terroir of shale and granite producing award winning wines of Rhône and Bordeaux style, a unique collection of white blends as well as our proudly South African Pinotage.
