The 1,5ha wine farm in The Crags near Plettenberg Bay puts its energy exclusively into the production of Pinot Noir with the emphasis on still wine. It is owned by English teacher David Butler and his wife, Joanna. Having acquired the unutilised land, the couple set about planting vines with the help and support of neighbour Peter Thorpe, owner of Bramon Wines and pioneer of the wine region. The Butlers' wine is made by Anton Smal at Bramon. Adjoining the vines are two self-catering cottages.
