Stellenbosch Wine Routes
Stellenbosch Hills is a winemaking co-operative in the district of Vlottenburg, after which the enterprise was named until 2003. Some 8 000 tons of grapes are sourced annually from its 16 producer members. The winery specialises in a variety of cultivars including Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Pinotage, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Shiraz, and produces its own range of wines too. Among them are the flagship Kastanjeberg and Suikerboschrand, as well as the fortified La Serena aperitif made of Muscat de Hambourg. PG Slabbert has been the cellar master at Stellenbosch Hills since 2003.
