Stark-Condé Wines

Stellenbosch Wine Routes

Stark-Condé is a family-run winery in the Jonkershoek Valley in Stellenbosch. Self-taught cellar-master José Conde started making wine on the property on 1998, beginning with a few barrels of Cabernet Sauvignon. Production has gradually grown to include other varieties, but all wines are still made using traditional methods. In 2017, José appointed Rudger van Wyk as winemaker. Rudger studied oenology at Stellenbosch University, and is a graduate of the Cape Winemaker's Guild Protégé program. All the Stark-Condé wines are bottled without fining and filtration.
