Formerly known as Zandrift, Rickety Bridge wine estate has a long winemaking history. Over half of the 50ha property is planted to vine. A new winery was completed in 1997, when the old cellar was renovated and converted into a barrel fermentation centre. It also has accommodation at Basse Provence Guest House and the Rickety Bridge Manor House, and a tasting room. Its restaurant, Paulina's, is named in honour of the original owner of the property in 1797. It caters for weddings too.
Wake up to delicious country fare and spectacular mountain and vineyard views. Stay over in our four-star luxuriously refurbished Manor House, which dates back to 1797 when the original owner, Paulina de Villiers, was granted the land. Alternatively, relax and rejuvenate with a stay at our four-star Basse Provence Country House, in all of its Cape Dutch glory, situated just over the river.
Grab a bite at Paulina’s bistro-style restaurant, which is open seven days a week. Be warmed by the large open-hearth fire in winter or opt for al fresco dining with vineyard views from the deck in summer.
