PaardenKloof

Bot River Wine Route

Restaurant

Derived from Dutch meaning “valley of the horses”, the area has a long history as home to farm communities. In 2004, the current owners established 23ha of vineyards on the border of the Babilonstoring Nature Reserve and conserve more than 1 000ha of the property's 1 430ha. The farm is 100% black-owned and managed. PaardenKloof reds are released after a five-year maturation period and the whites after 18 months in the bottle. All are registered as single vineyard wines. Varieties include Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc. A range of younger vintage wines was launched in 2016.
