Dieu Donné Vineyards
Franschhoek Wine Valley
"Given by God" is the meaning of Dieu Donné, a farm situated high on the steep south-west facing slopes of the Franschhoek Mountains. It was acquired by the French-Mauritian Robert Maingard in 1987 and is a popular stop for visitors to the region. A range of wines are produced from the 40ha of vineyards, including an MCC (Méthode Cap Classique) bubbly. The view from this elevated position gets a full showing at the estate restaurant, called Roca – the rock, which is available for weddings and functions too.
