Die Mas Van Kakamas

Orange River Wine Route

Wedding Venue, Wheelchair Friendly, Conference and events Venue, Accommodation Available

In the arid region that is its home, the nearby Orange River is one of the few other connections to water along with the farm name, which is Afrikaans for "the mast". Die Mas is a farm some 80km from Upington in the Northern Cape. It was founded by the Hanekom Family, which acquired the land in 1970. Die Mas specialises in table grapes for export, raisin production and the making of wines but is also renowned for the potstill brandies it distils and matures. Self-catering chalets, a scenic campsite and restaurant complete the offering.
