Dutch couple Marianne and Fons Aaldering’s aspiration to produce great South African wine began in 2004 with the acquisition of a 24ha estate in Devon Valley, Stellenbosch. Its focus is well-structured, layered and elegant wines that go well with food. The result has been listings in three-star Michelin restaurants and on several premium airline classes. In addition to its tasting room, the estate offers accommodation in three lodges and makes corporate responsibility contributions to amongst others Streetsmart SA and Human Rights Watch.
They have been fortunate to build a great reputation with wines in top gastronomy, including 1, 2 and 3 Michelin starred restaurants as well as listings on the renowned American Airlines First Class, Asiana Airlines First Class, All Nippon Airways (ANA) First Class and KLM Business Class.
