Constantia is the oldest wine region in the southern hemisphere, with its wine – famously “sweet, luscious and agreeable” – the toast of ballrooms and palaces across Europe in the 1700s. Every notable figure desired it and loved it. Queen Victoria drank a glass each night, while Napoleon drank a bottle a day. Today, the Constantia Wine Walk takes you on private trails to the iconic farms in the valley, allowing you get a taste of what makes Constantia such a unique and fascinating wine capital of the world while enjoying the best wine and food in the region.
