What would you get if you took grapes from every wine farm in the Durbanville Wine Valley to make a one-of-a-kind Sauvignon Blanc? We’ll tell you!
You’d get this milestone Sauvignon Blanc – a true product of innovation and collaboration.
The Durbanville Wine Valley is known for its Sauvignon Blanc, a result of the cool climate of the region. Wines from the region, particularly Sauvignon Blanc, consistently receive top honours internationally.
The region is also fast gaining a reputation for pioneering and award-winning projects such as this. The project follows on the heels of last year’s collaboration which led to the now-sold-out Master’s Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon.
Wineries that contributed to this collaborative Sauvignon Blanc include: Altydgedacht, Bloemendal, Canto, D’Aria, De Grendel, Diemersdal, Durbanville Hills, Groot Phesantekraal, Klein Roosboom, Maastricht, Meerendal, Nitida, and Signal Gun. This year’s wine was made by veteran winemaker Charles Hopkins and Morgan Steyn of De Grendel Wine Estate and Restaurant.
Every detail about the wine reflects the essence of the Durbanville region, down to the label itself which reflects the region’s proud commitment to nature-aligned viticulture, Dutch heritage, and strong sense of community.
