Oneiric is in one of the coolest wine growing areas along South Africa's south coast because of it's high altitude, close proximity to the Atlantic Ocean and good Winter rainfall. The cool climate causes the grapes to potentially ripen slower resulting in naturally fresh, graceful wines.
The bountiful Elgin valley is developing a reputation for outstanding wines, characterised by their mineral undertones and complimented by good natural acidity, displaying an elegance that has its origins in its uniquely cool terroir.
