Established in 1704, Kloovenburg is nestled between the slopes of the majestic Kasteelberg and Riebeekberg mountains in the dry yet fertile soils of the Swartland. We craft estate-grown produce for locals and international visitors to enjoy. We specialise in Chardonnay, Syrah and white and red Rhône grape varieties.
In 1956, the du Toit family took over custodianship of the property and we welcome you to visit us to taste our range of wines and olive products. We have something for everyone at Kloovenburg. You can grab some lunch and relax at Kringe Inni Bos, our self-service pizzeria restaurant next door to our wine and olive tasting room and the kids can amuse themselves in the extensive playground. Or join us at our innovative Eight Feet village which sits atop the Bothmaskloof Pass overlooking the Estate and the entire Riebeek valley where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner in our 2 restaurants and indulge in some retail therapy in one of the 5 gift shops or simply unwind with a sundowner on the deck.
We have plenty to keep all your family entertained for the entire day! If you are too exhausted to drive after all that, you can stay in our luxurious guesthouse and treat yourselves to a variety of spa experiences.
