David and Nadia Sadie met while studying – he, viticulture and oenology; she, soil science and viticulture. They were married in 2009 and made their first wine (a Chenin blanc based blend) a year later. Since then, the focus on Chenin blanc intensified to the extent that they now produce five single varietal Chenin blancs alongside the Chenin blanc based blend. On the red side, they produce a Grenache noir and a Grenache noir based blend. Grapes from dry land farmed, bush vines (many of them part of the Old Vine Project) from the Swartland are used for all of these wines.
