Visit Winelands

If you love gardening and the outdoors, then put this week-long celebration on your calendar!

From 30 September to 10 October, Stellenbosch will be hosting its first-ever Garden Week. Inspired by the world-renowned flower festival of Girona in Spain, Garden Week Stellenbosch kicks off with a wonderful flower parade on 30 September 2021.

The festivities will also include horticultural tours, landscape art, dining, hiking, music and more. The entire town looks set to boom, with storefronts in town, local wine farms, and accommodation echoing the theme with floral designs and special offers.

Enjoy a variety of open gardens and nature walks, fascinating talks at the Stellenbosch Botanical Gardens, and interactive workshops at, among others, Babylonstoren, Spier, Jordan Wines, and Blaauwklippen. Workshops will cover topics like flower arranging, photography, growing-your-own and learning more about bees.

Finding Eden

Of course, there’ll be plenty of food and wine. Most notably, an exceptional Finding Eden experience with South African Michelin Star chef, Jan Hendrik van der Westhuizen, taking place at the majestic Cathedral at Blaauklippen Estate. There will also be a seven-course Botanical Banquet presented by JAN Innovation Studio to delight foodies.
