Tanagra

TANAGRA is an idyllic wine farm close to McGregor and part of the Robertson Wine Route and Route 62. We produce handcrafted wines in a boutique wine cellar, all natural/wild yeast fermented and with focus on certified Single Vineyard Wines. In our boutique farm distillery we produce an stylish range of Grappa, Fruit Eau de Vie and Fruit Liquors.
An old wild fig tree gave the farm its name, 'Tanagra' - it echoes the Khoisan expression for a well-shaded place. This giant tree canopies the historic homestead and winery, providing welcoming shade during the hot days of summer.

"We offer two apartments (Bottlebrush & Gumtree), three cottages (Garden cottage, Hill cottage and Faraway) and a Loft Studio, each sleeping 2 persons/adults (Faraway sleeps 4 persons).

Four units are located around the old historic Tanagra homestead and the boutique wine cellar & distillery (Loft studio, Garden cottage, Bottlebrush & Gumtree). They are perfect for those who enjoy being on a working wine farm and get a 'farm feeling'. The Hill Cottage and Faraway Cottage sit in the midst of fynbos away from everything and everybody."
